GLORIOUS HIMACHAL WITH GOLDEN TEMPLE
One of the most famous tourist destinations of India, Shimla located in Himachal Pradesh is a beautiful hill station. Also known as Simla, your travel to this place will be one event of your life that you shall never forget. This beautiful hill station derives its name from Goddess Shyamla, who is supposed to be an avatar of Goddess Kali. This lovely hill station was & discovered by the British who immediately fell in love with this place. Infect, they went to the extent of declaring Shimla as their summer capital.
Kullu Manali is best known for its scenic beauty in the midst of Himalayas. Historical references about the Kullu valley dates back to ancient Hindu literary works of Ramayana, Mahabharata and the Puranas. The first Prime Minister of India late Pt. Nehru, he came here twice for his holidays first in 1958 for a month and second in 1960 for ten days.
Dharamshala is a hill-station lying on the spur of the Dhauladhar Mountains about 18 kms north-east of Kangra, in the State of Himachal Pradesh and overlooks a wide spread of plains. It is known for its scenic beauty set amidst high pine and oak trees. Dharamshala altitude varies between 4400 ft. and 6560 Since 1960, when it became the temporary headquarters of His Holiness The Dalai Lama, Dharamshala has risen to international repute as “The Little Lhasa in India”. Covering a wide area in the form of a twin settlement, Lower Dharamshala (1380 m) is a busy commercial center, while Upper Dharamshala (1830 m) with the suburbs of McLeodganj retains a British flavor and colonial lifestyle. There is also a large Tibetan community in exile, who has made this their home, living mostly in McLeodganj.
Dalhousie is one of the most famous hill stations of Himachal Pradesh. It stretches itself leisurely through the five mountains, Kathlog, Potreyn, Terah, Bakrota and Bhangora. It was established by Lord Dalhousie in 1850, and there are many things that remind you of its colonial past. Sightseeing though, is one of the many ways of keeping yourself busy here. Those visiting Dalhousie do so to be in the company of nature, and it keeps them company always. It doesn’t matter which part of the town you may be in, the sight of snowcapped peaks of Dhauladhar Range greet you constantly. The clouds embrace the mountains in the distance, while the greenery of the landscape is brought out by the sun’s rays in another. This contrast lightens the mood and cheers you up. A trip to Dalhousie is largely about sightseeing, because the landscape lends itself perfectly to this activity.
